The Journey of TAP's Utsav Begins
A glimpse into TAP's fun-filled 'Utsav' - an event celebrating our students’ innovations, accomplishments and creativity.
The Apprentice Project’s much-awaited Utsav event commenced on 18th March 2023 with its first stop at the vibrant city of Hyderabad, followed by the nation’s capital, Delhi, on 25th March 2023.
Student winners from all the TAP schools in the two cities came together to display their work and showcase their genius via their Sustainable Development Goals-based projects. Some of the top minds from the education and policy landscapes of the cities evaluated the various projects made by children and provided them with their insights.
More than 300+ student projects were showcased, based on topics of waste management, climate change, and spreading awareness about global issues. The students also exhibited projects related to self-expression, mental health, the impact of Covid, gender discrimination, recycling water, clean surroundings, and renewable energy. These projects were created using the learnings and skills acquired from the different elective courses offered at TAP - Science Lab, Coding, Visual Arts, Financial Literacy, and Performing Arts.
The Hyderabad event began with inspiring words by the guests of honor - MLA Kaleru Venkatesh, former MP Vivekanand Gaddam, and Founder & CEO of Bryt, Mr. Srinivasan Chandrasekar. Other dignitaries, like Corporator Mr. Vijaykumar, Mr. Madhusudhan, General secretary - Telangana Budget Private School, and Dr. Lakhsmi Narayana, Director Electronics and Navigation Department - Osmania University, were also present at the event.
In Delhi too, renowned personalities - Ms. Neelima Dwivedi, Executive Director - Govt affairs, Policy, Communications & Market Access at MSD, Mr. Ashish Goenka, CFO of Jubilant FoodWorks, Dr. Nuzhat Ali, Head Tech 4 Positive Future and Strategic Partnerships at Capgemini and Ms. Shweta Chohan, Global HR lead at Capgemini, graced the event with their presence. They spoke about the importance of holistic education, project-based learning, and the importance of skills like critical thinking and collaboration.
